I created the leaf texture with the tree designer of Bryce 5. The green background of the scene is better because then you won't notice the rest on the leaf-edges. First click with the magic wand into the background. Take care of the settings shown in the next picture. After selecting, use SELECTION --> INVERT SELECTION (SHIFT+STRG+I) to invert the selection. Now you have selected the leaves. Open up the channel window. WINDOW --> CHANNELS. Click on the icon SAVE SELECTION AS CHANNEL as shown in the next right picture. |

Parts of the image are now coloured. They will be invisible later. Save the leaf image now as a 32 bit TGA picture. |
